Accordingly, the number of exams opened abroad in 2024 will increase from 4 to a maximum of 8 exams. The paper-based test (PBT) will be administered in 90 countries and test on a PC with an Internet connection (TOPIK iBT) will gradually expand to 10 countries.
It is known that this is one of the follow-up measures for the project “300,000 people study abroad in Korea” (Study Korea 300K Project) was announced on August 16, 2023. Based on actual opinions, it shows that the number of Korean language tests abroad is not enough, on the contrary, the demand for Korean language proficiency tests is increasing.
